#FridayGiving: We Energies supports The Women’s Center during a critical time of need

While social isolation is a necessary step to control COVID-19, experts are concerned it may cause a spike in cases of domestic violence. That’s where The Women’s Center comes in. Located in Waukesha County, the organization provides survivors a safe home every day, including during this critical time of need. The We Energies Foundation is proud to support its efforts.

The Women’s Center serves women, children and men impacted by domestic abuse, child abuse, sexual violence and trafficking. It is the only agency of its kind in Waukesha County, and its confidential services are provided free of charge to thousands of survivors each year. The center’s goal is to heal and empower adults and children as they work toward a future free from violence.

Even now, The Women’s Center emergency shelter and 24-Hour Hotline are available, and it continues to provide tele-advocacy to survivors. If you are able to help, you can donate directly on the center’s website.
